Not long after the Type C arrived, another Type A was being shipped. Not that I'm in need of more projects, but what the hell.
This type A isn't really special, or all that different from my other one (HB100).
Condition wise, it's a bit more beat up than I'd have liked, but still plenty serviceable, and the motor wasn't bound up inside. The cord was cracked and so stiff it was snapping as I tried to move it, and due to the exposed conductors, I just cut it off entirely. The housing seems either to have a lot of residues or adhesives, or something, or some serious evidence of being knocked around. The upside is that the decorative caps were still there, over the ends of the brush tubes/speed control. Everything else related to the speed control feels really mushy, and loose. The commutator looks like it's seen plenty of run time, by the amount of carbon deposits on its surface, and the ring of material that looks to have been shaved off over time by the brushes. The handle is in good shape, perhaps the best out of all that I've seen.
Perhaps the most noteworthy element is that this unit had its original case with the original Guarantee certificate. It's only noteworthy to me because all the previous ones did not have the certificate inside. The case is a bit worse for wear, as many of them are. All of the accessories were there (and still in very good shape, aside from the rust on the studs that attach to the body of the vibrator and expectant dirt accumulation on the rubber pieces. All easy issues to resolve.
That's about all I have for this, aside from the initial condition pictures.
Update: Fixed the randomly original size images.
